About the Mentor

Emily Xu is the Programme Director in charge of innovation programmes at XNode Shanghai, a platform connecting innovation activities in China to the world. As part of this role, she has led the Foxconn Innovation Programme, New World Development Greater Bay Area (GBA) Accelerator Programme, and Intel GrowthX Accelerator Programme.

Emily holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. As a Shanghainese, Emily also works as the China Representative for Green initiatives, a social enterprise working on urban sustainability.

Mentorship Experience

Emily Xu has mentored international startups in their go-to-market strategy for China as part of the cross-border expansion programmes that she leads at XNode, including the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) programme supported by Enterprise Singapore. Other global programmes she leads includes ones with the Italian Trade Agency, KISED, Born2Global, NIPA, Australian Landing Pad, JETRO, Global Incubator Network Austria, and more.

Emily has also supported startups like Nurvv (sports wearable), Incooling (data centre cooling system), Matrak (end-to-end supply chain management), Ludwig (writing tool) to refine and identify key resources like Foxconn, GDS, and other local institutions for their market expansion plans in China.
