This course showcases how Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent (BAT) are key innovation players in China, with their core and affiliate businesses stretching from e-commerce and logistics to payment and financial services.
Learn about the rise of ByteDance as the new “B” in BAT and its impact on the Chinese consumer economy. The course also touches on how international startups looking to enter the Chinese market can leverage on BAT and their ecosystem of tools and services for market expansion.
SPEAKER PROFILE
Emily Xu is the Programme Director in charge of innovation programmes at XNode. As part of this role, she has led the Foxconn Innovation Programme, New World Development Greater Bay Area (GBA) Accelerator Programme, and Intel GrowthX Accelerator Programme.
Emily holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. As a Shanghainese, Emily also works as the China Representative for Green initiatives, a social enterprise working on urban sustainability.
